Job Overview
Hamam Shawaya is seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to lead our kitchen operations in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will bring authentic Arabic and Egyptian culinary expertise, uphold high-quality standards, and ensure smooth, efficient kitchen management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all kitchen operations with a focus on quality, consistency, and efficiency.
- Develop and design authentic Arabic and Egyptian menus aligned with the restaurant’s brand and concept.
- Supervise, mentor, and train kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and professional growth.
- Ensure top standards in food preparation, presentation, and portion control.
- Manage food purchasing, inventory, and cost control to maximize profitability.
- Ensure compliance with Qatari food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
- Collaborate with restaurant management to plan seasonal menus, promotions, and special events.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: 4–5 years of professional culinary experience, including 3+ years in a Head Chef or Executive Chef role.
- Proven expertise in Arabic and Egyptian cuisine (experience in Gulf or Middle Eastern restaurants is preferred).
- Strong knowledge of food costing, budgeting, and inventory management.
- Excellent leadership skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
- Must hold a valid QID (Qatar ID).
